Villas-Boas eyes up Germany U-21 starlet

Not content with the many midfielders bought in the summer, Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas is reportedly tracking Germany Under-21 international Patrick Herrmann from Borussia Monchengladbach. With Villas-Boas supposedly also tracking long-time midfield target Joao Moutinho, one wonders just where all these players fit in at White Hart Lane.

Certainly, Hermann looks a good player with 10 goals in 56 games for the Bundesliga outfit but with doubts emerging over who is just signing the players at Spurs, perhaps it would not be the worst thing for Villas-Boas if as the Sun reports, they lose their battle for the midfielder with Inter Milan.

The last time Tottenham went on such a varied spending spree, it was under the direction of Damien Comolli and Juande Ramos, two names that send shivers down the spines of all Spurs fans.
