      Royals go after Real youngster

When sleepy Berkshire club Reading were taken over by Russian tycoon Anton Zingarevich, the headlines told fans of the Royals that as well as possessing a vaguely attractive wife, Zigarevich was also set to plough millions of pounds worth of investment into Brian McDermott's side and bring in some top talent from all over the globe.

So you can imagine the Reading faithful being a little miffed that their major summer signing was not Yakubu or Jermain Defoe, but the free transfer of Pavel Pogrebnyak. Indeed, Zingarevich's somewhat questionable spending looks set to continue with the Mirror reporting that the Royals are interested in Real Madrid reserve winger Denis Cheryshev.

The 21-year-old supposedly impressed Zingarevich in a Real Madrid B friendly against Barcelona B. He also just happens to be Russian...much like Pogrebnyak. Interesting.
