Liverpool look to the North East to solve striking problems

Anyone would have thought that Liverpool hadn't just hammered Norwich for five at Carrow Road. Instead, the Metro are reporting that the Reds are setting their sights on Newcastle striker Demba Ba, potentially as part of Brendan Rodgers' ambition to move on Andy Carroll and destroy every last trace of the big man from Merseyside.
Whether Ba would want to take the step down (in the league table at least) to move to Liverpool is another matter entirely, but with reports of the striker's unhappiness of the prefernetial treatment shown to international compatriot Papiss Cisse ahead of him, there could perhaps be some substance in the rumour.
