League One hot-shot a wanted man

Wigan could face competition from Norwich in their hunt for Huddersfield striker Jordan Rhodes.

The Scotland under-21 international was linked to the Latics yesterday, with boss Roberto Martinez rumoured to be lining up a bid for the 21 year-old.

But whispers have emerged today that the Canaries are also having a look at League One's second top-scorer, who's goal in the 2-2 draw against Scunthorpe last night took his tally to 13 this season for the Terries.

The forward is held in high regard by his manager Lee Clark, and just last week the former Newcastle player said he had never seen a striker with such an impressive goal ratio, despite having been team-mates with the likes of Michael Owen, Louis Saha and Alan Shearer.

That impressive form in-front of goal seems to be catching the eye of the top-flight, and with Norwich manager Paul Lambert famous for giving hungry lower-league players the chance to shine on a bigger stage, Rhodes looks to fit the bill.

Can Huddersfield afford to let their star-man go, and is Rhodes ready for the top-flight?
