    Latics look at Terriers hit-man

Wigan have been linked with a £3m swoop for Huddersfield striker Jordan Rhodes.

The 21 year-old has shown lethal form over the past couple of weeks, scoring 13 goals in his last five matches for both the Terriers and the Scotland under-21s.

The forward's superb goal ratio looks to be attracting attention from the Premiership, with League One's second top-goalscorer rumoured to be interesting Latics boss Roberto Martinez.

Rhodes has scored back-to-back hat-tricks in England's third-tier, bagging trebles against both Exeter and Preston.

Martinez's Premier League strugglers have been finding goals harder to come by though, holding the unfortunate honour of having the least profilic strikeforce in the top-flight so far this season.

And with the January transfer window just over two months away, the Latics may make a move for one of the hottest prospects in the British game.

Would Huddersfield sell Rhodes, and if they did, is he ready for the Premiership?
