Often when faced with the sight of a ponytailed striker, or luscious flowing locks, I wonder, how on earth do they head the ball so precisely, and surely the manager would prefer a slightly more streamlined style? Here's a selection of surfer cuts from over the years.
The number one footballing pub discussion in recent times has been that of “That was miles over the line! That linesman wants shooting!” The Premier League will be putting that particular debate to bed for the 2013/14 season with the introduction of the Hawk-Eye system. It is therefore a good time to look back at some memorable disallowed goals.
Away from the current crop of superstars, the 12-time Premier League champions have enjoyed their fair share of legendary footballers over the years, many of whom enjoyed unprecedented levels of success during their respective time at Old Trafford.
Although I didn't have the fortune to be old enough to witness the genius of George Best in person, he has always been a player that I hold the utmost respect for and thoroughly enjoyed watching throughout my childhood.
The MLS sure is a lot more than an ex-Pro's graveyard now'a'days. It never really was to be fair, it's just always given a bad press owing to the fact that the American's have failed to embrace 'Soccer' as much as we have here on the shores of blighty, Europe and further afield.
