Schteve in trouble again (Video)

Former England manager Steve McClaren is reportedly facing the sack from Dutch side FC Twente if results don’t improve.
Steve McClaren's failure to qualify England for Euro 2008 will no doubt harshly haunt the rest of his career in football, despite his success in becoming the first Englishman since Bobby Robson in 1996 to win a top-level domestic league.
One of Europe’s most coveted prospects, was again in outstanding form in a draw with NAC Breda.
It’s a chilly and wet November evening in northwest London, the rain is hammering down onto an already saturated playing surface.
Steve McClaren became the latest manager this weekend to admit defeat in his attempts to revive Nottingham Forest into a footballing force to be reckoned with. Nigel Doughty, who himself handed in his notice amid the chaos, described the decision to appoint the ex-England manager as "very poor". We must ask ourselves why this is the case? Surely, being able to attract a manager of McClaren's calibre deserves some credit, despite the poor results that followed?
It may be an understatement to say that Steve McClaren is an easy target for critics after that infamous qualifying campaign for Euro 2008 in charge of England. The use of umbrella on that tormented night against Croatia didn’t help either, and neither did the abysmally guided press conference in attempted pidgin Dutch after taking the reins at FC Twente. However, after winning the Dutch Premier League with the club from humble Enschede, his stock saw something of an upturn and, after an ill-fated spell in charge of Wolfsburg, he has been permitted a route back into England and a shot at redemption.
With all fuss about Alex McLeish potentially heading across the second city divide to Aston Villa, another Midlands managerial appointment has somewhat snuck under the radar. It’s just 10 years ago that Steve McClaren was being vaunted as one of the top coaches in England, now he finds himself at a club who are still aiming for promotion to the Premier League 12 years after relegation.
Three ties look to be dead meaning there is just one place in the semi-finals up for grabs. Two of the Portuguese sides look to be through as do Villareal after comfortable first leg home wins.
Yet it’s in midfield where this ‘golden generation’ really takes effect.
