When the BBC text information service Ceefax finally closed its doors in April 2012 it prompted a wave of nostalgia across television, radio and online. Social networking site Twitter started to trend a topic called 'memories of Ceefax', and in amongst the recollections of Boggle and cheap package holidays there were numerous football anecdotes.
