Red Devils Offered Real Madrid Star - Why United Could Have A New Man Running Down The Wing

After really making a name for himself since moving to the Bernabeu in 2010, Angel Di Maria could now be set to leave Real Madrid.  Interestingly, the winger could be about to land in the Premier League.

According to the Independent, his club have offered the Argentina international to Manchester United for £40 million.  Last season’s Champions League winners are believed to be willing to offer Di Maria a new deal, but have so far struggled to come to an agreement with the player.

Now at 26 years of age, the Madrid man has become a star of La Liga after previously impressing in Portugal with Benfica.  A skilful winger with an abundance of pace, he has consistently been able to provide the sort of excitement that fans of Los Blancos demand. Although the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo makes everyone else seem inferior in comparison, Di Maria’s performances have made the Argentine a big name in Europe and an important member of Real’s team.

Having just endured their worst Premier League season ever, United supporters need something to cheer them up.  Di Maria could provide a timely boost to the Red Devils, although a lack of European football could make the player reluctant to move to Old Trafford.

No deal is in place at the moment; a fee is yet to be agreed between the sides and the player’s personal terms could end up being just as problematic as Madrid have found them.  However, the signing of Di Maria would be a step in the right direction for United.

If they sign Di Maria it will be a step backwards. Firstly, he is not needed. Secondly, United already have Rafael and Nani who can run around in circles and fall over a lot, they don't need another one practised in the same art. Thirdly, if Di Maria is worth 50,000,000 , then Fellaini is worth 60,000,000.
Forget it! United already have enough players on the shelf marked "not good enough". Don't add this clown to it.
