Transfer Window Officially Opens As Players Continue To Shine In Brazil - Why Colombian Could Be The Man For Manchester United

The World Cup has long been a stage for players to make a name for themselves and sometimes earn a career-defining move.  This year’s edition could well be about to do that for one Colombian star.

Juan Cuadrado’s performances for his country at the tournament have led to admiring glances from across Europe.  Currently plying his trade in Serie A with Fiorentina, teams from England, Germany and Spain are all said to be keeping a close eye on the player, as Colombia prepare to ruin the party in Brazil when they face their South American rivals in the quarter-finals.

According to the Metro, Manchester United are considering a £32 million bid for Cuadrado.  The Red Devils have already signed Ander Herrera from Athletic Bilbao in an attempt to address their midfield problem, and adding to that by acquiring a winger who fans have seen shine so brightly this summer would surely be welcomed at Old Trafford.

At 26 years of age and having played in Italy since 2009, Cuadrado has the benefit of being someone who is experienced yet could still have the best part of his career to come.  Although the price tag may seem excessive, United’s situation means they need players who are at the top of their game right now.  The Colombian certainly fits the bill.
