Chelsea Midfielder To Real Madrid? Why Jose Mourinho Must Keep Hold Of This Energetic Dynamo

Managers going back to work with players that have previously done well for them is a common thing in football. This is something that Chelsea fans are probably aware of right now, as reports are linking Ramires with a move to Real Madrid, who are coached by the man that brought the Brazilian to Stamford Bridge back in 2010 - Carlo Ancelotti.

For me, it would be an obvious rejected if I was in charge of the west London side, and here is why.

Not only can he play in the wider positions, his aggression has seen him thrive in the middle of the pitch and establish himself as one of the most effective midfielders in the Premier League.

The way he gets in the face of opposition is something that is somewhat unique for a Brazilian, but he has mastered it and fits nicely into the pace of the English top tier.

He played 30 league games last season for the Blues and another 16 in other competitions, which is the fourth consecutive season that he has played over 40 games in a season for Chelsea. Last term he churned out 62 appearances.

His stamina, determination off the ball and passing ability on it - he completed 84% of his passes last season - are just a couple of reasons why Jose Mourinho must keep hold of him for next season.
