Chelsea To Move For Midfielder That Bullied Arsenal: Why It Would Be A Good Move

After months of reading stories about how Toni Kroos is ready to solve the Manchester United midfield problem, it now seems as though a move to Chelsea could be on the cards. Although his talent has been highlighted in numerous reports since his name hit the headlines, I actually think he could flourish at Stamford Bridge. Here's why.

With Nemanja Matic one of the most emphatic holding midfielders in European football, he needs a player to come in and dictate the Chelsea midfield with him. Ramires is energetic and would add some bite into the double pivot but his ball distribution leaves a lot to be desired.

Kroos, as we saw when he bullied Arsenal in the Champions League this season, can run the game with his passing alone. The way he can switch the ball around the pitch with his raking passes is brilliant to watch and opens up spaces for his team-mates, so with Eden Hazard and Willian on the wings it could really damage opponents.

He can also thread clever balls in behind the defence which could allow Samuel Eto'o and whoever else is playing up front for the Blues next season to score a shed-load of goals.
