Arsenal Watching £12m Midfielder With 89% Pass Completion - Player Report

Arsenal are said to be tracking Southampton star Morgan Schneiderlin ahead of a £12m bid this summer. The French midfielder has been one of Saints' key players since their promotion back to the Premier League and is said to be ready for a jump to a Champions League side. Here's what they will be getting should they land the 24-year-old.

In the league season just gone he played 33  games and completed 89% of his passes. He averaged nearly 60 passes per game, made 30 key balls and made 3.4 tackles per game, on average.

He is as good on the ball as he is off of it, which is rare for a player of his age.

He closes gaps when the opposition are pressing with the ball and works tirelessly to win the ball back.

He also has an incredible knack of reading the game  - he made 68 interceptions in his game time last season.

Arsenal could really benefit a player like Schneiderlin and for me he is the perfect fit.

Schneiderlin has been awesome for saints since he has joined. His hard work and reading of the game have been consistent throughout. He has also lost the tendency to go in with both feet to get a red card, and found the correct timing without losing his aggression. He is worth more than £12m to us and I hope he stays and improves with us. He should also be in the French national side (unless they are playing England).
