Arsenal Star Agrees £140,000-A-Week Deal At Manchester City - Why Gunners' Loss Is Pellegrini's Gain

Arsenal fans have known that Bacary Sagna was on his way out for some time now, but it seems to have actually happened. The Gunners' right-back runs out of contract this summer and has apparently agreed a three-year deal with Manchester City worth £140,000-per-week. Arsenal's loss is certainly City's gain.

Sagna is one of the most impressive full-backs in the Premier League despite his age and continues to impress for the Gunners.

Even up to the FA Cup final he put every last bit of effort into his performances and showed just what a professional he is.

City now have the dilemma of choosing Pablo Zabaleta or Sagna, if the move transpires, though it is a nice headache to have for Manuel Pellegrini.

Sagna played in 35 of Arsenal's 38 Premier League and made 175 clearances. He averaged 1.7 tackles per game, 1.5 interceptions and claimed two assists.

Zabaleta also played in 35 games but made 6 assists. He made 84 clearances, 120 tackles and 70 interceptions.

Having both on your books is enough to make any side jealous.

and this is the team that just failed uefa ffp.

They clearl;y think they are above the rules- hope they get bnailed out of europe next year

    Classless.

All city are doing is paying him the wages they will not be paying lescott never mind the wage not going to barry i know he was on loan, but city still paid most of his wage and others also leaving so net spend on Sanga nothing no increase in the wage bill no transfer fee please tell me how this affects ffp

    classless more like clueless

He is no loss as far as I am concerned. He is not a good full back as he leaves the opposition too much room and he has been caught out too many times by opposition players who have pace. Sagna cannot cross the ball and plays the ball backwards 90% of the time when he gets into the opposition half. Callum Chambers of Southampton, even at his young age, is much better at defending and going forward. Sagna will be lucky to get into the City team because he is nowhere near the class of Zabaleta. However, I am sure he will enjoy riding the City bench for 120k a week. Only went for the money!

When are the gooner's going to realise that they come to city to win things, you have won 1 f.a cup in 9 years is it? but they come to us for money lmfao.

Thank you very much for sharing.
