87% Pass Success, 1 Goal: A Closer Look At How Aaron Ramsey Ripped Hull Apart

Aaron Ramsey made his first start for Arsenal since Boxing day today. The Wales international has been missing because of injury but was selected to start against Hull in this afternoon's game. He repaid Arsene Wenger's trust in him too, and in some style.

The Gunners opened a four point gap from Everton in fourth spot after their 3-0 win at the KC Stadium, and Ramsey was at the heart of that.

Not only did he score the opener, Ramsey ran the show from his central slot, completing an impressive 67 of his 77 attempted passes. That's a completion of 87%. From those completed, two were deemed key and one was an assist, which again was great to watch.

He also made three clearances, two tackles and worked tirelessly in the defensive phases, which allowed the likes of Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski to play with freedom.

He covered so much ground during the game that it was almost expected for him to get across the pitch and make an important interception or tackle, which epitomises everything about the midfielder.

For me he was the best man on the pitch, despite Podolski's double, and deserves huge amounts of credit.
