Arsenal Linked With Tottenham Flop: Why Gunners Should Steer Clear

Arsenal are reported to be keeping tabs on the unpredictable talents of Fulham playmaker Adel Taarabt who is currently on loan at the San Siro representing the red and black stripes of AC Milan. The 24 year old is as infuriating as he is gifted, but he is not the type of player Arsene Wenger should be looking to bring to the Emirates.
The Gunners are blessed with a wealth of creative talent and Tarrabt’s best position is in attacking midfield just off of the striker. Arsenal already have the grace and vision of Mesut Ozil in this role, who when at the top of his game is one of the finest playmakers in the world.
Admittingly, the German international has not hit the heights he showed early on is Arsenal career. However, it would be seem ludicrous for Wenger to be looking for another creative maestro to rival the club’s record signing who has proven quality at club and international level.
The weaknesses of Arsenal do not lie in the centre of the park. When everybody is fully fit they have a midfield that can rival any in the Premier League. Taarabt has impressed at Milan with some superb performances, but Arsenal already have an embarrassment of riches in this area. They do not need to be greedy.
