Let The Mind Games Begin: PSG Target Chelsea Duo Ahead Of European Clash

According to the Daily Telegraph, French outfit Paris Saint Germain have stepped up their chase for Chelsea duo Eden Hazard and Oscar.

Less than a week before hosting Chelsea for the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final, PSG have cranked up the charm offensive in what appears to be an attempt to unsettle the two youngsters.

Both have been influential in the Blues’ title challenge this season. Eden Hazard has netted 17 goals in all competitions, while Oscar has 14 to his name. At 23 and 22 years of age, respectively, both have huge careers ahead of them and Jose Mourinho will be eager to quash any rumours before they have an opportunity to materialize.

Chelsea are adamant that any bids for the duo, from PSG or anywhere else, will be rejected, as you would expect. Both players have three years remaining on their Stamford Bridge contracts, with the club willing to offer them extensions if necessary.

Of course, this is clever timing on behalf of the French club as head coach Laurent Blanc prepares for a tough encounter with Mourinho’s side.

With the added pressure of living up to expectation brought by speculation, the duo could find themselves overwhelmed and their performances could suffer as a result.

However, we all know Chelsea’s Portuguese gaffer is the master of mind games and it’s likely he’ll come out on top yet again in the two club’s clash of words.
