13 Goals, 9 Assists: Chelsea Linked With Potential Oscar Replacement, But What Could He Offer?

Oscar is a real fan favourite at Chelsea, due to his dynamic performances since his move from Internacional in 2012. The little playmaker has taken up a number of roles at Stamford Bridge but always gives his all when he is in the team, and at the weekend he was showered with his praise for the impact he had in Chelsea's 6-0 win. The little Brazilian scored twice and was instrumental throughout, but the Blues may have to start to prepare for life without him.

Sports Direct are running an exclusive suggesting that Jose Mourinho has already earmarked potential replacements, and the one they mention is Roberto Firmino, who is impressing in the Bundesliga.

The 22-year-old is a player who can function in the centre of midfield, in the hole behind the striker or on either flank, though he is primarily a central playmaker.

This season he has scored 13 goals and claimed nine assists, which is far superior to what Oscar has notched, though the Chelsea player has been played as a wide midifelder this season, rather than an attacking outlet.

For me Firmino would be a fine choice, though I get the feeling that Chelsea fans don't want to see Oscar leave west London.
