Make Or Break For Barcelona: El Clasico Is Must Win For Messi's Men

Despite an impressive 7-0 win over Osasuna and Lionel Messi becoming their all-time leading goal scorer, the wrong result in ‘El Clasico’ could end Barcelona’s title challenge.

A seven goal thrashing was the perfect way for Barcelona to bounce back after their shock 1-0 defeat to Valladolid last weekend, and keep them within four points of rivals Real Madrid.

Lionel Messi grabbed a historic hat-trick as he broke Paulino Alcantara goal scoring record and became the highest goal scorer in the club’s history.

The Catalans look like they have regained their best form at right time, as they face rivals Real Madrid tonight, in a game which will have huge repercussions for the loser.

Even though Martino’s men won the first Clasico at the Nou Camp back in October, they will come up against an entirely different animal at the Bernabeu.

In my opinion Barcelona only have one option and that is to win. A loss would see Real go seven points clear and would leave Atletico as their main rivals.

I am certain that Barcelona won’t be scoring seven goals this weekend, with Real Madrid massively improving their defence in the second half of the season.

In the last 14 league games, Ancelotti’s men have only conceded nine goals and have kept nine clean sheets in the process.

There is no doubt that this is the biggest game of the season, Messi vs Ronaldo, Bale vs Neymar and a title on the line. You couldn’t ask for more.
