    Why Manchester United Fans Should Be Excited About The Rest Of The Season

    Manchester United registered a 3-0 win over Olympiakos in the second leg of their the Champions League clash at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening. The result comes after the Premier League champions suffered a defeat to arch rivals Liverpool  last weekend.

    The importance of United's victory over the Greek champions is that David Moyes' side have qualified for the quarter finals of Europe's elite club competition. United managed a 3-2 aggregate victory over two legs as the first saw the English outfit suffer  a 2-0 defeat.

    United players were playing with an approach to win the game in regulation time and were successful in managing it. Robin van Persie's hat-trick, which includes two goals in the first half followed by a brilliant free kick from outside the box sealed a crucial win for Moyes' men.

    Now that United have won the game, the fans are excited and they have many reasons to be happy about it. The Red Devils' latest win in the Champions League has seen the belief back, which was once found under the guidance of Sir Alex Ferguson.

    Not one player could be pinpointed for not giving their best.  

    The players' body language, confidence, and their mentality was back, which has seen them play attacking football. The main positive from United's win over Olympiakos result, for the fans, is that the Red Devils played it "United Way."

    United's philosophy is to play attacking football and to entertain the crowd. They want to give something back to the loyal fans who visit Old Trafford and back the team whenever they are in action, despite the recent form.

    It was a rare glimpse of the real United players this season under Moyes. Now that the mentality is back amongst the players, the former Everton manager and his men need take this form ahead and not get carried away with the only good result.

    Moyes needs to understand that he needs to play it United way at Old Trafford, which is attacking football. The fans at Old Trafford and across the globe are disappointed with the 50-year-old manager is because the majority of the season has been devoid  of any real creativity or attacking intent.

    Now that the game against Olympiakos has shown us the players can play the way they used to under Ferguson, Moyes needs to make sure they maintain the form for the rest of the season and finish the remaining fixtures with a result.
