Chelsea WILL Beat Arsenal This Weekend - Here's Why

The most exciting match in this weekend's Premier League fixtures is most definitely at Stamford Bridge, where Chelsea will welcome Arsenal to their stomping ground. Chelsea are first place in the table, while Arsenal are currently third, tied on points with second place Liverpool.

Chelsea have an amazing track record at home, and I don’t think a visit from Arsenal is going to change that. The Blues are returning to Premier League action after an impressive win against Galatasaray midweek on the same pitch. Arsenal were not so fortunate in the Champion’s League, though, and their campaign is over until next year.

This fixture is one that fans always look forward to. I’m confident that Chelsea can take the three points from this one, and there are several factors to make me think that.

The first that comes to mind is Jose Mouinho’s record at Stamford Bridge. It’s flawless, and his boys are not going to let him down on their home ground. The Bridge is a fortress, and Arsenal definitely know that coming into the clash and hopefully it’s proves intimidating for them.

Secondly, the injury concerns that are surrounding the Arsenal first team is a worry for the Gunners. Mesut Ozil, an Arsenal player that I admire, suffered a hamstring injury during Arsenal’s second leg round of 16 match against Bayern Munich, and has yet to make a return. Though, in all honesty, he’s not having the season at Arsenal that he was expected to have.

Hopefully for them, when he finally makes his way back from injury, he will finally be the player he was at Real Madrid. Fellow German Lucas Podolski is also a player I’ve enjoyed watching over the years. However, his club career is no match for his international one, and he hasn’t made much of an impact at the Emirates.

Chelsea will definitely have an advantage this weekend. I may be a biased Chelsea fan, but I do think that we have a remarkably solid squad.

I’m hoping to see the likes of Oscar, Eden Hazard, and Ramires in midfield. Willian has been exquisite this season but for this game I would like to see what Andre Shurrle is capable of.

The back four of Cesar Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Terry, and Cahill will likely be out from the start yet again,  and I wouldn’t mind seeing Eto’o start up top alongside Fernando Torres.

I, for one, am excited for this match. I feel that Chelsea have the edge for this one and will emerge from the match victorious.

Not so much one-eyed as blind. Willian and Ramires are both suspended for this game !

Ha Ha what a fan you must be. Clueless to 2 of your players being suspended for the game.

Firstly, Ramires and Willian are both suspended.
Secondly: Chelsea don't always win at the Bridge, they just don't lose. A draw will do to keep Arsenal in the title race as long as we beat City.
Finally, Ozil hasn't exactly been a standout performer this season. Oxlade-chamberlain is in form, and so is Rosicky. Provided Rosicky is available, that more than covers for Ozil's absence.
You have nobody to cover for Willian and Ramires, though. Schurrle, while good on his day, is muck when it isn't. Salah could take Willian's place, but will Jose risk it in a match as big as this? And Matic is the only one who can cover properly for Ramires. You have just as many problems as we do.
Another thing to note is the fact that Azpiliqueta does not come forward, he hangs back near John Terry, leaving space on Chelsea's left. Arsenal's whole game this year is about exploiting space. And this time, Chelsea won't sit back and hope we can't score like at the Emirates.

    WOW!!

Not just biased but delusional!! Jose might be able to escape sanction but Ramires and Willian cannot. As for Ozil not having the biggest impact, he still has the second most assists in the league which is all good with me! performing but staying under everyones radar. I would just get my City shirt back out if I were you!
