THREE Reasons Why Chelsea Fans Should Be Relieved That Blues Missed Out On Midfielder

Chelsea target Fredy Guarin is reportedly on the verge of signing a new deal at Serie A side Inter, which would close any potential move to Stamford Bridge in the summer, according to the Mirror. It sounds like a bad thing, but here a couple of brief reasons why Blues fans should feel relieved.
1) age
The Colombian will be 28 on his next birthday, and as an attacking midfield player that means his better days are probably behind him.
Jose Mourinho has never been one to rely on youth players, but surely with the likes of Frank Lampard and John Obi Mikel in the midfield, they have enough 'experience'.
2) options
As well as the two who I have just mentioned, Chelsea have new signing Nemanja Matic available to them, as well as Oscar who can play in a central role.
Although Hazard is a wide player, he can also play in the middle, just behind the striker, if needed. I'm not sure where Guarin would fit in with that.
3) wasteful
This season the playmaker has completed just 71% of his passes and scored three goals, which compared to the current Chelsea players is pretty poor.
Not only does his passing need work, his finishing is also weak - he has had 76 shots this season and scored three goals.
