Premier League Trio Linked With Inter Playmaker - Who Is He, And What Could He Offer?

Italian football is often portrayed to be a slow, tactical game with few thrills in between. Although this is quite an accurate assessment, there is plaenty of entertainment packed into the topflight. One player who supports that idea is Inter playmaker Mateo Kovacic. The 19-year-old is being linked with a move to the Premier League, however, with Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea all interested.

But who is he, what could he offer and who needs him the most from the three reported suitors.

Kovacic has made 24 appearances for the Italian club this season, though most of those have been from the bench. He is slowly making a name for himself as an energetic attacking midfielder who is brilliant in the pass.

He is a creative player who has completed 90% of his passes so far this term and would fit in brilliantly with any of the sides.

In particular Manchester United. For me David Moyes exactly this type of player to stamp his authority on the Old Trafford side. To drop him in the side amongst Juan Mata, Adnan Januzaj and Wayne Rooney would surely bring the best out of him and the forwards would benefit hugely.

For me United would be the best choice, and he'd be a cracking signing.
