Torres To Be Offered A Way Out Of Chelsea - Here's Why Mourinho Needs To Get Rid

Fernando Torres grew up an Atletico Madrid player. El Nino joined the capital club in 1995 as a mere 11 year old and went on to play almost 250 games for the club, scoring nearly 100 goals in the process. Torres was a hero at Atletico and left the fans heartbroken when he left for Liverpool in 2007. He could very well be on his way back, though, as the Sun say they Spaniards will offer him a way out of Chelsea in the summer.

I think the Blues should definitely take them up on the offer, too.

Torres has lost his touch, has lost his pace and is failing in front of goal as well. He is currently in his fourth season at Stamford Bridge, and although he hit 22 goals last season, only eight were in the Premier League.

He is still yet to reach double figures in the league since the 2009/10 season at Liverpool, and he's taking up valuable space in the Blues line up.

I think Mourinho should get rid, and offload Demba Ba while he's at it, and recall Romelu Lukaku to step up next term. I'd look to bring in a big name striker and keep Samuel Eto'o as third choice. But that's just me.
