Why Manchester United Striker Will Excel Away From Old Trafford

This morning’s Daily Star reports that Javier Hernandez has been told he is free to leave Old Trafford this summer, after only making four league starts this season.

The little Mexican has struggled for game time since the arrival of Robin van Persie and has been given even less of a chance since David Moyes has taken control.

Hernandez will not be short of possible suitors in the summer, especially if he has an impressive World Cup with Mexico.

Inter Milan, Valencia and FC Porto are just a few top European names to be linked with Chicharito and I believe wherever he goes, he will be a success.

He is exactly what a team like Valencia need, a true fox-in-the-box style striker, who thrives when the ball is in the box and loves playing off the shoulder of the last defender.

Despite falling out of favour with David Moyes, Hernandez still has an impressive strike record with Manchester United, with 35 goals in 92 league appearances.

I think Hernandez would flourish in La Liga. The defending is not as robust as it is in the Premier League and teams tend to play a more open brand of football.

It is a shame that Chicharito is being allowed to leave. He showed moments of brilliance at United and proved in his first season that he could mix with it with the best.
