Reckless: Arsenal Have The Right To Be Angry At England Camp

As international teams kicked off meaningless friendlies last week, club managers tensed up at the thought of a injury to one of their key players at a crucial stage of the season.

Imagine then, if you can, Arsene Wenger gesticulating wildly at his television when Daniel Agger crunched Arsenal's Jack Wilshere during England's friendly with Denmark. Agger's tackle was poorly timed and he kicked Wilshere's foot which, it turns out, has crushed all the bones in the young man's foot.

Wilshere is familiar with being kicked cynically on a football pitch as he is often the target when teams choose to unsettle Arsenal's quick passing rhythm by fouling them at every opportunity. Following the tackle, Wilshere rolled around on the floor for a bit in what appeared to be agonising pain which it must have been, no doubt. Despite this, Wilshere decided he was fine to continue.

Indeed, after the game Wilshere said that the damage to his foot was minimal ('just a bruise' in fact) but scans have revealed that young Jack will actually be out for six weeks as it turns out that Agger smashed all the bones in the midfielder's foot.

A case of recklessness from both Wilshere and the England camp and Arsenal have every right to feel angery.

So, now visualise Wenger kicking his television off of its stand and ringing Sepp Blatter demanding to know the reason for such pointless midweek friendlies. Blatter, of course, doesn't have a clear cut answer, as none of us do but it has cost Arsenal a key clog in their machine ahead of a very demanding run of games. Kim Kallstrom, anybody?

It's not very often that I agree with Arsene Wenger, but in this case,i agree 100%,why they play meaningless friendly matches, with teams that haven't qualified I just don't know, the only thing it proved is how bad our England Team is, I'm afraid Hodgson needs more than a psychologist to do any good with that lot, the general opinion of the public is,
"THE TEAM IS CRAPP" THEY STAND AS MUCH CHANCE OF WINNING THE WORLD CUP,AS I WOULD CLIMBING MOUNT EVEREST IN A TEE SHIRT AND A PAIR OF TRAINERS,IN FACT THE ODDS WOULD BE IN MY FAVOUR..
