Liverpool Eye Premier League Defender - Here's Why It Would Be A Good Move

Steven Caulker was dubbed as one of the most promising English centre-backs in the country. After progressing into the Spurs first team he was then flogged to Cardiff, surprisingly, but he is proving what an outstanding player he can be on the big stage, despite the Bluebirds sitting 19th in the table. With the Welsh outfit looking likely to drop to the Championship there are rumours that Caulker is a summer target for Liverpool, who have suffered at the back this term. But what is the centre-half about?

Though he's a powerful, domineering defender, Caulker is remarkably effective on the ball. He's always looking to bring the ball down, open his body up and pick a pass if there is one on.

He has been involved in every Premier League minute that Cardiff have played so far and has chipped in with two goals, but it is his dominance in the air that has made him stand out from the crowd.

I think Liverpool would be a good choice of team for the England international considering the manager, the manager's desire to play good football and the way he gets the best out of his players. Especially the younger crop.

For me I think it would be a good move all round.
