Naive: Has Mourinho Slipped Up With Eto'o Comments?

It appears Jose Mourinho is the latest member of the Premier league to be caught by a foreign broadcast slamming several of his players which included an unflattering comment about Cameroon Striker Samuel Eto'o.

The conversation which took place eight days ago in Switzerland where Mourinho was questioned about Chelsea's chances for silverware has been met with the wrath of the Chelsea boss who was recorded saying "The problem with Chelsea is I lack a striker. I have Eto'o but he is 32 years old, maybe 35, I don't know."

To the Portuguese coach's credit he has not denied anything that has been said but has slammed the underhanded tactics of french TV channel Canalplus. From my perspective, the comment is not obviously a good one, not one I would do in a serious way, not something I would do in an official way in an interview.

First of all, because I don't make fun. Secondly, because if there are managers in the world that really defend their players, I am obviously one of them. And third, because Samuel Eto'o is Samuel Eto'o."

Mourinho also claims that his comments were taken out of context and he was having a conversation with someone of "not the football world".

This is not the first time that a player or manager has falling foul of the foreign press and I am sue that it will not be the last but the biggest surprise, for me, is that Mourinho had let his guard slip.

Mourinho will sure be more guarded in future, I'm sure.

Jose says similar things every time he's caught out being the idiot he clearly is. Man up Jose, you're a despicable liar.
