Liverpool Linked With £37m Midfielder, But Would Can He Offer The Reds? Player Report

If this season hasn't been exciting enough for Liverpool fans, they're in for a treat next year. Or at least I expect them to be. They look in a strong position to finish in a Champions League spot which in turn, if they secure their place in the competition, leads to big name signings which will only improve them.

One man whose name is being mentioned, by top source Caught Offside, is Real Madrid's Isco, who is struggling to fit in at the Santiago Bernabeu this season.

The Spaniard signed in the summer but with Carlo Ancelotti deploying a 4-3-3 formation built around Luka Modric he has struggled to cement his place in the side.

He has made 24 appearances this season across La Liga and the Champions League and has scored nine goals, which is a superb return in his debut season. He has also collected four assists and although he is seen as Gerrard's long-term replacement by many I think he has the natural ability to surpass what the Liverpool skipper has in his career, though across different clubs.

He sits in the middle of the pitch and can play further up behind the strikers and can also drift out to the left. The accuracy that he has in his passing and the creativity that he brings to a side is well worth splashing out on, and if you believe the reports then the Liverpool bosses will need to stump up £37m.

This clip may give you a bit more insight into what he can do.
