THREE Manchester City Players Who Should Be Dropped After Blackburn Draw

Manchester City kicked off their FA Cup campaign today at Blackburn but were unable to book their place in the next round as they drew 1-1 with their neighbours. Manuel Pellegrini will have made his feelings known after the game, but here are three players who I think should lose their place in the side for Wednesday's trip to West Ham.

    1) James Milner

Okay, Milner is more effective when City are playing away from home, but when you're up against lesser opposition then you have to go for the kill. He's never been the most impressive player going forward as he doesn't hold the pace nor the creativity that the likes of Jesus Navas or David Silva hold.

Milner looked as though he didn't want to be at Ewood Park and as a result cost City when they looked to get forward.

    2) Joleon Lescott

His mistake resulted in the goal and in turn he got some stick from his own fans, and for that reason alone I would say that he needs to be hooked. As City travel down to the capital for their fixture with West Ham they will need aerial dominance, something that Vincent Kompany and Matija Nastasic can provide.

    3) Costel Pantilimon

The giant goalkeeper didn't have an awful lot to do but he never exuded any real confidence and it left some fans biting their nails. I think Joe Hart will be deployed between the sticks next time out and it would be a good idea, for me.
