SIX Things Arsenal Fans Might Not Know About New Signing Kim Kallstrom

With Aaron Ramsey's injury looking more serious than first thought and Jack Wilshere also sidelined, Arsenal are looking a little short in the midfield department. Mathieu Flamini is also suspended, so Arsene Wenger has swooped for Sweden international Kim Kallstrom. Arsenal fans may be wondering what they have signed, so here are six things that they may not know.

    1) Kallstrom played for BK Hacken for three seasons before making a move to Djurgarden who also play in Sweden.

    2) Kallstrom made his name in the French top tier though, first moving to Stade Rennais and then to Lyon.

    3) With the latter he won six major trophies in six seasons, playing around 250 games for the side.

    4) He joined Spartak in the summer before the 2012 season and has made 30 league appearances to his name.

    5) Kallstrom also has 108 Sweden caps for the senior side, as well as having played for the U16, U18 and the U21 sides.

    6) Kallstrom is a central midfield player who can sit in the deep position but can also contribute to the attacking phases. He is a left footed player and will be on loan at the Emirates for the rest of the season.
