West Ham Reject Morrison Offer - Player report

West Ham find themselves fighting for their Premier League lives right now and could drop back into the bottom three at the weekend, so the last thing they would want to happen is Ravel Morrison abandoning ship. The Daily Star say that the Hammers have rejected a official bid from fellow Londoners Fulham, which is the natural reaction.

Rene Meulensteen, the Fulham manager, said: "Yes, we did make a bid. Yes I think he does want to come. He would add pace, power, unpredictability and a real attacking threat."

He has a point, too. Morrison has been sensational this season and has started to look like the player who some expected him to be during his youth days at Manchester United.

So far this season he has made 15 appearances and scored three goals. His intent when pressing forward with the ball allows him to burst through opponents and he has shown real awareness and creativity when on the ball.

He has made 10 key passes this term and completed 86% of his passes and shown us that he can rip the top defences apart.

I am not sure that he is the player Fulham need though. They are packed with skilful players with no desire to get stuck in, and I get the feeling that Morrison would just join them.
