Mind Games: Mourinho Piles Pressure On Manchester City, But Does He Have A Point?

Jose Mourinho has been considerably well behaved since he returned to Stamford Bridge, which is unlike himself. The Special One has toned down his smug press conferences and has let his side do the talking for him on the pitch, something they have done brilliantly so far - they sit just two points behind leaders Arsenal and are in the knockout stages of the Champions League.

It seems as though the mind games has started though, as has piled the pressure on Manchester City to win the league.

Mourinho said: "At Chelsea, it would be my greatest achievement if we beat City to the title this year. City, in terms of power of the squad, are in another dimension. You can't compare their situation with any other club."

But does he have a point?

City certainly have a remarkable squad and comparing them player by player with any other will result in the Etihad side coming out on top, I would imagine, but is everything else in place for them to win title?

Their defence has looked slack this season, their away form has been shaky and they have suffered injuries to the spin of their side. Vincent Kompany, Yaya Toure, Samir Nasri and Sergio Aguero have all been sidelined at some point and that's not something others have had to deal with, which I suppose shows signs of champions.

Although Mourinho may be pushing the pressure elsewhere he may actually have a point this time, so I'll refrain from picking on him.
