3 Players Arsenal Need To Offload

There were smiles across the red half of north London on deadline day as Real Madrid snapped up Gareth Bale before sending Mesut Ozil to the Emirates on a permanent deal. Arsene Wenger would have been swilling his wine ferociously while muttering compliments to himself, but there are some faces in the Arsenal squad that I would consider not good enough. So here are three players who I would get rid of, if I was Arsene Wenger.

    1) Lukas Fabianski

The Poland international has been at the club since 2007 but made just 67 appearances for the Reds, and Wenger is obviously not planning on making him the number one after signing a short term back up in the shape of Emiliano Viviano. Now at 28 I believe it's time to use Fabianski's wages on someone else.

    2) Nicklas Bendtner

It would be interesting to see whether he still fancies himself as one of the top forwards in the world after sitting on various benches for the last few seasons of his career. The 25-year-old failed to score in his nine games for Serie A side Juventus during his loan spell last term and didn't manage to secure a move away in the summer, but either a loan deal before January, or perhaps just a permanent switch in the new year.

    3) Abou Diaby

I think the time has finally come to offload the sick note. Wenger's perseverance with the Frenchman is admirable, but there has to be a time where he's considered not worth the trouble. When on form he's a fine player, but that's few and far between.

Abou Diaby seems to be the only footballer the world over who is simply being paid 'for being injured.' He's just collecting money for 'nothing' at Arsenal. I think his name should be changed, from Diady to 'charity.'
