Forgotten Manchester United man finds new club - a look back at the midfielder (video)

Believe it or not, Sir Alex Ferguson made some duff signings during his time at Manchester United. For all the Cristiano Ronaldos and Eric Cantonas there was an Eric Djemba Djemba, and it is the latter I want to concentrate on after the Cameroonian signed for Serbian side Partizan Belgrade.

The midfielder arrived in Manchester from French side Nantes and soon become known for his brash and somewhat ungraceful style of play. His poor performances lead to him becoming a bit of a joke in Premier League football, unfortunately, and after just 20 league games for the Red Devils he left for Aston Villa.

After two seasons and just 11 league appearances for the Villains, and a loan spell at Burnley, he made a switch to Qatar SC where his career continued to swan dive and he found himself on the scrapheap after just one season.

He was picked up by Danish side Odense and it would prove a successful move as he went on to make over 100 appearances for the club. Next up for the player was Hapoel Tel Aviv where he played 24 league games before confirming his new club this week.

Having trouble trying to remember him? This may help...
