Cesc Fabregas - Midfield maestro (video)

Cesc Fabregas has hit our screen heavily in the past couple of weeks as Manchester United boss David Moyes tries to lure the former Arsenal man to Old Trafford. Whether the deal will go through or not, we do not know, but enjoy this clip of the Barcelona maestro after reading our brief profile of the man himself.

Born in Barcelona, Fabregas signed to the club's famous youth system La Masia as a 10-year-old. He would spend six years at his home club before taking up an offer from Premier League outfit Arsenal where he would eventually make his name.

Despite not expecting to break into the first team quite so soon, Fabregas was handed his first appearance the year he signed for the club at just 16 years of age. His technical brilliance and passion for the cause carved him a hero status in north London and he went on to make over 300 appearances for the Gunners. He also earned the captaincy because of his influence on and off the pitch.

His impeccable performances then lead the playmaker back to his homeland with his boyhood club where he has so far made 96 appearances. He has already won five major trophies with Barca, and has racked up 83 Spain caps. With his national side, he has won two European Championships (2008 & 2012) and the 2010 World Cup.

Will we see the 26-year-old return to the English topflight? I hope so.
