    The stars of Japanese football - A closer look

    The qualifying round for the world cup has finished for Japan, as they book their ticket for Rio 2014 we take a look at the two main man who could lead Japan to world Cup glory.

    Shinji Kagawa the Manchester United attacking mid fielder was on song when he played against Australia just recently.

    The 24 year-old was unstoppable by giving the Socceroos are hard time to contain him with is lightning runs and deadly shots at goal. The Japanese international has bagged 6 goals in 20 appearances for the Red devils and 13 goals in 39 matches for his country. He will spark a lot of interest come next year when displays his talent for the whole world to see.

    Keisuke Honda who ply his trade for the Russian side CSKA Moscow is another phenomenon for Japan, he played very well up-front along-side Kagawa, the 26-year-old put the Samurai blue through to the world cup only needing a point to progress.

     The attacking midfielder was quick to put the penalty in the back of the net and celebrate proudly with his team. The Japanese international has bagged 19 goals in 76 appearances and also for his country has 42 caps and been on the score-sheet 14 times.
