    Gattuso eyes Palermo job

Former Italian veteran mid fielder Gennaro Gattuso could be on his way back to Italy to start a new venture with Sicilian side Palermo.

The 35-year-old was coaching French side FC Sion for one season when he signed with them back in February 2013. He has been sensationally sacked by the French club just after 12 weeks in charge.

It well could be on the cards that he could make a return to the coaching dugout of Palermo, as current coach Giuseppe Sannino remains in charge after the club were relegated to Serie B. This is all set to change.

His football career has been a great one, with spells at Glasgow Rangers, Salernitana and Milan. Players like Andrea Pirlo, Alessandro Nesta and Gattuso himself made Milan what they are today.

He has bagged only 9 goals in 335 appearances for the Milan club and 1 goal for the FC Sion also.

It will be good to see Gattuso back in Italy, it is where he belongs, he will have a good team to coach with as Palermo are starting to gather pace with the likes Fabrizio Miccoli still holding the reigns as captain and hopefully leading the team to qualify for the Uefa champions league.
