Manchester City man subject of a £10m bid from Serie A side - statistics

Manchester City's Carlos Tevez may finally get the chance to end his 'nightmare' in the Premier League. He's had a good innings I suppose, but the time to flee and have the opportunity to live closer to his family has come, according to the Mirror. The paper are reporting that AC Milan are ready to spark discussions with the Argentina international in a deal worth £10m.

The 29-year-old is out of contract at the Etihad next season and has revealed his plan to run his contract out before leaving on a free transfer, so with this in mind City bosses are actively seeking a buyer.

The former West Ham and Manchester United forward played 34 games under Roberto Mancini last season and scored 11 goals. He created a further 61 chances for colleagues and finished with a 53% shot accuracy, as well as completing 84% of his passes.

His tireless work-rate and ability in front of goal has won him plenty of fans over the years, but his questionable attitude off the pitch and the fact he swapped the red half of Manchester for the blue on a free transfer have seen him come under some severe abuse.

The move will undoubtably stoke mixed reaction, but few can argue that he has been an asset to the English topflight over the last seven years, and when Manuell Pellegrini sits him down to discuss his future I am sure the Peruvian will be asking him to stay.
