Why Higuain should snub Arsenal for Juventus

After the final round of La Liga fixtures, Gonzalo Higuain announced that he intends to leave Real Madrid this summer and has already received several offers. Many clubs are rumoured to be in for him including Arsenal but for me, one club stands out as the perfect club for the Argentine. That club is Juventus, the Italian champions.

The reason for this is quite simple. Higuain is a predator in front of goal, a forward that comes to life when he enters the 18-yard box and that is exactly what Juventus are looking for. With Higuain leading their line they would be a force to be reckoned with in Europe next season and would most definitely be stronger than they were this year. Their midfield is already stacked with talent and the system with three-at-the-back works a treat for them. A partnership of Fernando Llorente and Higuain at the front of this sturdy system would send shivers down the spines of their European rivals.

Despite completing just 13 full games at the Bernabeu this season, Higuain has scored 16 league goals which is only second to the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo. He was rotated constantly with Karim Benzema, who only completed five full 90 minutes himself as Jose Mourinho failed to decide who his preferred option was.

Higuain’s shooting accuracy is also very impressive with 65% of his shots hitting the target with over half of his 31 shots on target resulting in a goal. Out of all his 48 shots, 33% of them hit the back of the net. He is the definition of clinical.

In comparison to Juventus’ current strikers, Higuain would be a massive improvement as the top scorer out of Juve’s three main ones, Mirko Vucinic, Fabio Quagliarella and Alessandro Matri, is Vucinic with ten league goals. It is obvious that they need more options up front and Higuain along with the impending arrival of Llorente would be a perfect strike-force for them next season.

Higuain’s goal record in Spain is exemplary, scoring 117 times in 223 appearances for Real Madrid. It is obvious that he will end his career at the Bernabeu with this phenomenal record. If he wants to continue this tremendous record at another club then Juventus are perfect for him with the amount of chances he will get from players such as Andrea Pirlo, Claudio Marchisio and Arturo Vidal playing behind him. The Argentine will also want to retain his place in the Argentina national team for next year’s upcoming World Cup and a move to Juventus would secure this place.

I still think the Italian league is pretty rubbish and I think Patrick Vieira thought the same when he moved to Juve! He'd be raising his game at Arsenal, challenging himself. Moving to Juve would be like moving to Celtic, they'll win the title next year and the year after etc. boring

So why should he snub Arsenal for Juventus.......because he is good? I'm guessing that is why he is being supposedly targeted by Arsenal.

Actually this post is very silly, he can be value add for any team he joins

The main reason he should pick Juve over Arsenal is winning titles, which is what players want . Second reason - more money, and third reason - Argentinians seem to prefer Italian culture and climat to that of England's .

The italian league is a financial mess, so the argument about more money is simply nonsense. Higuain will go where he'll be paid the most, and now that Arsenal are ready to break their pay structure he is just as likely to end up at the Emirates. There is a thriving Argentinian community in London and I doubt a little rain will put him off. Arsenal are building a team to comptete for the english title, which would be more of a feat and challenge than the bygone conclusion that is the Italian league.

Maybe he should move to Juve so he can taste slow, boring football, whereby on average, strikers score about 12-15 goals a season yawn. There's always the incentive that some old Italian granma will adopt him and make him pizza and pasta for the rest of his days. Oh and when he's fat and useless at Juve I'm sure Bari, Parma, Roma, Udinese etc will snap him up.....zzzz.....Yeah but then that's so last century!
