The lack of pull to Arsenal Football Club

I got thinking of saddening thoughts of Arsenal the other day, and as a fan for nearly 2 decades, this wasn’t the first time I’ve yearned for yesteryear. Prepare for a reflection of what we used to be, and what we have become and the potential to return to the heights we reached during the noughties.

Now I’m not one of these self hating Arsenal fans, I understand we have fallen off our perch that we placed ourselves upon during the early 2000’s and although it does pain me to see Spurs being 1 point off us for the past two seasons at the final day of the league and it coming down to the wire both times, but I understand football domination comes in cycles. Take the German assertion taking place on world football at the moment, they have confirmed their league is better this year as both representatives of the Champions League final are German, this may continue for the next few years or the La Liga teams may rectify their mistakes and return to their former domination of club football and even extend it onto the world stage next season as it is a World Cup year.

I am drifting off the point and could ramble on about the dealings of Arsenal and how the mighty have fallen but I think it is blatant to see why we have not been able to contend with the powerhouses of the English and European football in recent times, with a bit of financial doping with teams like Manchester City and Chelsea within English football and hints of it with Manchester United, but their twinned with their brilliant management and riding the crest of their wave from years of building a team entwined with the financial backing, but with the risk of their zenith being reached with the end of the Fergie years, it would be interesting in years to come to see if there is a correlation between United’s dominance with Ferguson and the Moyes tenure after. The same can be seen across world football as well, Barcelona are the more team building orientated outfit of Spain, in contrast to Real Madrid and their Galactico’s where they buy big and it pays off. Their seems to be a template of this throughout European football, Dortmund are like United and act like a TEAM in comparison to their rivals Bayern, who come across as individuals, and with Arjen Robben in your starting XI, you’ve gotta have some big ego’s to compensate, same for Montpellier and PSG in Ligue 1’s battle at the top, although Montpellier have drifted off.

The thing with Arsenal is that we don’t really act as a team when we play or have the financial backing to allure the bigger names. We bring through marvellous players such as Jack Wilshere at the moment, with Cesc Fabregas coming through after we poached him from Barcelona and we mould them into big fishes in a smaller pond and they inevitably move on. Cesc is allowed to leave for Barca in my eyes; I do not begrudge him a move back to his boy hood club and he would of left us even if we were the best team in England, in my opinion.  But let’s use Samir Nasri as an example, we bought him from France and he was relatively unknown to the English public and in the few seasons he was with us he was phenomenal, he could play wide, as a number 10 and even deputise for Fabregas if he was injured and did a marvellous job, then realises although through his efforts, he isn’t going to win trophies with Arsenal and it’s not like the wage is anything special (In a footballing sense, I would love to be sitting on £70,000+ a week) then the assurgency of City as major players in the league, with ambition and the funding to achieve it is a massive attraction to leave. I’m not saying Arsenal don’t have ambition, of course we do, just we don’t have to tools to achieve it in my opinion. United went 26 years without winning a league title, the footballing world does come full circle, well I hope it does from an Arsenal fans sake, anyway. Like I said, I’m not self-hating, just lowered my expectations…for the time being.

The Pulling power of m c chel is easy enough to see MONEY arsenal runs a club in the black turning out good players that puts arsenal in a position that should be praised not put down if your not happy with that follow the teams with sugar daddies not a club trying to do the right thing

I don't agree with anything you said! German league is not the best in Europe! Bayern are world class and could challenge in any league but how can you suggest that teams like Nuremburg, Augburg or Freiburg are better teams than Liverpool, Newcastle, Everton etc?? The Prem is the best league in Europe full stop! Spain has 2 great teams, Germany 1 and 3 maybe 4 very good teams, italy has nobody nowadays! France has a few money cheating teams but overall nothing comes close! Put West brom or even Swansea in any other league and they would easily qualify for europe! Champs league is a CUP competition and you need luck more than skill to win it! e.g chelseas lucky muggy cheating euro cup wins! league forms are the only true reflection! even though luck is involved there too...bad refs, injuries, lucky goals etc etc or if you're like spuds and are a 1 man team...
Arsenal can offer a player EVERYTHING!!! Arsenal respect their players abit too much!! again compare to scumbags chelski? managers last 5mins! Players who are half decent like Malouda sent to rot in the reserves! Great players like Yossi...has his number taken away and doesnt get a look in etc! its awful! Not saying Arsenal way is better because our way we end up paying awful players like squillaci £40k a week!!! for what? helping out in training sessions! Would be better if we were abit more ruthless like chelski...but we have world class training facilities, we play footy in the right way! we are respectful and play by the rules! london club....oh yeah and qualify for champs league EVERY season! So yeah, if money wasnt an issue...there are not many players who wouldnt wanna come play for arsenal! not saying messi or ronaldo would want to come but any other player not connected to spurs/man utd/chelsea will want to play for arsenal!
Unfortunately its ALL about the money nowadays! so if bids are accepted from arsenal, citeh and chelski...then what player would want to sign for arsenal when they can get everything arsenal offers (good facilities and champs league footy etc) plus double or even triple the wages? thats the only reason arsenal are not signing the same players as chelsea or citeh get...because they blow us out of the water financially! which is blatant cheating! i just dont know how any REAL fan can feel good about winning something when their clubs cheated their way to titles! it is against everything sport stands for! you're meant to earn a title! thru skill, effort and blood, sweat and tears! not buy paying for it! whats the point??? its the same as going out and pulling the hottest lady in the club and then she becomes your gf whereas the chelsea/citeh way...have payed for a prostitute to pretend to be their gf! lol! if that makes a good analogy?? lol
So anyways..not only have arsenal had to deal with financial doping for the last 10 years...we have also built an amazing stadium!! and i know many footy fans are idiots and cant see the bigger picture but it doesnt take a genius to work out how much of a hindrance and how much it affects the financial side of things! we are finally nearing the end of this and instead of being in debt like chelsea, citeh, liverpool, man utd, spurs and every other footy club on the planet....we will soon be making pure profit!! so can soon match other clubs financially! then what will we be?
A club who treats their staff and players with dignity and respect, ensures they live very privileged lives, have amazing state of the art stadium and training facilities, plays great football, qualifies for champions league every year... and soon to be able to afford world class player wages! whilst being debt free! add abit of luck and keep together our maturing British core and the best manager in the world!....there is no reason we cant become the best team in England again! if not the world! many ppl will laugh at this but im looking at the bigger picture! and i cant wait to say i told you so to every glory supporting fan or money cheating club out there!!
