    Thomas Muller: A closer look at Bayern's composer (Video)

    Think back, if you can bear it, to the 2010 World Cup and that game against the Germans. 

    Germany administered a thorough beating on the English that day and you can argue that had the linesman not blinked when Frank Lampard's shot went over the line then the result would have been different. 

    This is a fair point but the cold hard truth is that the Germans were far better than the English and bossed them in pretty much every department. Thomas Muller played extremely well that day earning a man of the match award and scoring twice. He went on to claim the Golden Boot at the tournament and since then has been widely recognised as one of the top midfield players in the world.

    He also obtained the moniker: The Yogurt Man. 

    Undoubtedly, Bayern have a magnificent team but Muller is the one player that you feel if they were without they would be missing something. Munich possess a fine backup in Toni Kroos but Muller is, simply put, one of the best players in Europe.

    Muller has been outstanding throughout the tournament - dismantling Barcelona in the semi-finals and punishing Juventus in the quarters - and he will be keen to avenge last year's loss to Chelsea
