Arsenal defender the subject of a £12.5m move to Russia

It is going to be a summer of change in the Premier League when the season comes to a close, and Arsenal are sure to be part of it. The rumour this time round, as reported in the Express, is that the Gunners right-back Bacary Sagna will leave the Emirates on a free when his deal expires in the coming months.

The Frenchman has been about as useful as a mankini this season in the Arsenal defence, with his poor showings frustrating the club's fanbase, and the chiefs are unwilling to offer him more than a one year deal on his current terms.

Needless to say the greedy footballer isn't happy with earning tens of thousands of pounds per week and will move to Russian money bags Anzhi Makhachkala in a deal worth £12.5m - or so the papers say.

Carl Jenkinson impressed in the first half of the season as can be trusted as first choice in north London, but Arsene Wenger is said to have already lined up a move for another French right-back in shape of Sebastien Corchia from Sochaux using the money they will receive from the Sagna deal.

I am not too sure how bothered the Gooners will be about this.
