Manchester City considering £12m bid for former Chelsea star

Managerless Manchester City could be preparing an offer for Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben, according to the Daily Mail. Both clubs are set to undergo a summer of drastic changes this time round as both are starting life with new managers - Pep Guardiola for the Bavarians and possibly Manuel Pellegrini for City - and it has been suggested that the Dutch winger is not in his new coach's plans.

I can hear Robben throwing his toys out of his plans from here.

The former Chelsea wideman isn't the most popular football player on the planet, far from it, but he is an incredible talent and has won trophies wherever he has been in his career.

Real Madrid secured his signature in a deal with Chelsea worth £24m in 2007 but will be available for around half of that should he leave the Allianz-Arena in the summer. He has been a huge part of Bayern Munich's extraordinary campaign in which they have swept almost everything in their path - winning the Bundesliga and being in the final of both the Champions League and DFB Pokal.

His direct runs and slippery tricks make him a nightmare to defend against for opponents, but if he ever thought of lifting his head and PASSING the ball then he may not be being forced out of the club.
