    Wigan's woeful support

As we know, Wigan Athletic have reached their first ever FA Cup semi-final at the new Wembley, albeit against Millwall.

Nonetheless a visit to Wembley is a special day for any club and its supporters, it's a day of celebration regardless of the end result (but it's better when you win).

I am a Portsmouth fan, I've been to Wembley several times and each time has been as special as the last, bar the Charity Shield of course.

However, and this is a big however, Wigan Athletic have sent 10,000 of the 31,000 allocated tickets back as they were unable to sell them, shocking I know.

I paid £80.00 for a coach ticket when I witnessed Portsmouth's win over Redknapp's Spurs, expensive I know.

But considering my team are now entering the ugly sights of League Two, it really was a once-in-a-lifetime chance.

My advice to Wigan Athletic fans is to go while you can, Wigan are Premier League for the moment, but what's happened at Fratton Park shows just how quickly things can change.
