    Francesco Totti: Mr Roma (Video)

If there was ever one player that embodied a club's ideals more than any other then it has to be, without any doubt, Roma's Francesco Totti.

Totti grew up as an avid Roma fan, he has spent his whole 20 year playing career in Rome and when his current contract expires in 2014 (by which time he will be 37) he will move upstairs to be a club director.

If you cut the midfield man open he would bleed red and gold and, rightly so, he is adored by the Roma faithful.

In 2001, under manager Fabio Capello, Totti led Roma to a Scudetto and SuperCoppa Italiania double and was named Italian Footballer of the Year.

It is Totti's remarkable 526 appearances for Roma and 225 Serie A goals, however, that sets him apart from the rest. Think of him as the Italian Giggs but with more goals. And less super injunctions.

His 225 goals place him second on the all time Serie A goalscoring chart (tied with Gunnar Nordahl) and he won the World Cup with the Azzuri in 2006. There isn't a lot Totti hasn't done in his career and Roma's Golden Boy is considered to be one of the best players to ever play in Serie A.

If you have a spare hour take a look at this video of all 225 goals the great man has scored.
