Real and Bayern do battle for Bale (video)

Gareth Bale's sparkling form for Spurs recently has reportedly prompted an offer from Spanish giants Real Madrid who are believed to have been long term admirers of the Welsh winger.

The Telegraph reported on Sunday that Real Madrid have asked Tottenham to be informed should Bale become available for transfer this summer.

Los Galacticos are supposedly willing to offer £50 million for Spurs' top scorer, however Bale may only be being used as propaganda, with Florentino Perez due to stand for re-election as Real Madrid President at the end of the season.

Also this weekend, the Daily Mail reported that Bayern Munich could potentially hijack any Real Madrid deal for the 23-year-old Welshman.

The German giants look set to match Real Madrid's £50 million bid as Pep Guardiola begins to build a team capable of competing with Europe's best on a regular basis. The Barvarians have already been linked with high profile moves for Luis Suarez, Edinson Cavani and Radamel Falcao in order to get Guardiola's new empire off to a winning start.

Gareth Bale has produced several awe-inspiring performances for club and country lately and the highly sought after winger looks set to be nominated for the upcoming PFA Player of the Year award.

Bale has netted 17 times for Spurs this season and will only consider staying at White Hart Lane should his goals propell Tottenham into a top 4 spot and Champions League qualification.

They are also interested in RVP, Rooney, Suarez - give it break you fools....

Not available, end of, dream on.

Yes you heard it hear first, I can confirm people at Barnet are serious interested in Messi, they think he might be able to add something different to their current crop of talent, they think an offer of £5+Burger (Double Cheese) might be enough to tempt Barca to sell.

*Just going with the theme of the article... Rubbish.
