Moyes Ready To Offload Manchester United Pair In January - Here's Why He Would Be Right To Do So

So, David Moyes seems to have finally come to his senses and - according to the Mirror - be looking to offload Ashley Young and Anderson when the January transfer window rolls around. I, for one, think that it's a brilliant decision and here is why.

Young is a winger who offers next to nothing going forward. His reputation has been ripped to shreds because of his play acting and the way he is easily brushed off the ball, but it's rare that he actually beats a man when on the ball.

This season he has attempted 10 takes ons and completed just three, he has won just one of his five headers and he has even managed to make a defensive error.

With Adnan Januzaj and Wilfried Zaha at Old Trafford, Young should have been flogged in the summer, in my opinion.

Over to Anderson and he hasn't got much to shout about, either. The Brazilian has become renowned for his lack of impact and is often slated when he gets anywhere near the pitch.

He is a player who likes to carry the ball forward from midfield, but when he gets into an attacking position he rarely knows what to do with it.

He can't shoot, he struggles to pass and I think United fans will be relieved to see him go in the new year.
