Does Arsenal's Champions League Victory Over Dortmund Act As A Warning To Opponents?

Well, there we have it. Arsenal have sent a stinging message to all clubs across Europe with a resilient victory over Borussia Dortmund at the intimidating Westfalendtadion. Few people thought they could do it, but Arsene Wenger's men rallied around each other and given a big two fingers to all that have doubted them over the past year or so.

At the back end of last season, and even after the first weekend of this, there were Gunners across the world demanding that the French manager was relieved of his duties. However, the Arsenal board stuck by their man and it's thoroughly paid off.

They now sit top of the Premier League (five points clear) and their Champions League group on the same points as Napoli and people are finally starting to take them seriously.

And the scary thing is, they are still without a number of key players. Theo Walcott, Lukas Podolski, Abou Diaby, Mathieu Flamini, Jack Wilshere, Yaya Sanogo and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are all out injured at the moment, and when they return it can only be a positive for the club.

There is a real sense of confidence around north London at current and that doesn't seem like stopping any time soon. Every time they are written off they generate a sterling performance and prove people wrong, and the 1-0 win over Dortmund was the performance that really rammed that down the sceptics' necks.

Can they do it again this weekend against Manchester United?
