Mourinho Rules Out January Move For Striker - Here's Why I Think He's Wrong To Do So

You would have thought with the poor displays of Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba so far this season that Jose Mourinho would be going all out to land a top striker in the January transfer market, but apparently that's not the case. The Metro say that there will be no deal to sign a forward at all - something which I don't think is right.

Torres himself has been dire, and not only has Ba been rumoured to be leaving us in the new year but has offered almost nothing in the final third. Between them, they have scored three goals. THREE. We are nearly at Christmas for goodness sake, so if that's good enough we may as well hand the trophy to Arsenal or Manchester City, or whoever else, ourselves.

Yes, we have goal scoring midfielders, but we have no one who can lead the line well enough to see us win the title in my eyes, and while I panic about our striking options Romelu Lukaku is scoring freely for Everton and Mourinho is telling us that we won't be moving for anyone!

It's not easy being a Chelsea fan.

Torres has lost his pace, his touch and his movement and Ba never had any of those. And while Eto'o has scored twice this term, that's not good enough to see us lift a trophy at the end of the season.
